Parents of our international students reflect on their journeys to Camphill
Jamaica
- Jordan’s Story
By Tammy Hart, his mom
T’was early one morn,
way before dawn,
that I searched online for that something unknown.
And then, my gosh! Camphill Special School got clicked…
What was this place, did it really exist?
I couldn’t wait to call
Bernie told all
we come from Jamaica,
this would be for the fall.
it was not under control.
We’d visit and make the call.
We arrived at Camphill
Jordy was shy, he had the EEG on his head,
but there was something about the place
just something he felt…
That here he would soon have his bed.
Then miracles happened…
Jordan’s seizures got controlled,
The grandson of Karl Koenig visited our isle,
And staying in our own home!
A miracle to the max!
This must be the place for us
let’s now relax!
So in September 2012 Jordy arrived at Trillium
Hyun and Morn his new mum
this was a dawn of a new day
for Jordan, his parents, his bro
What more can we say!
Triumphant we smile, and sing with joy
how happy and proud is our now 15 year old boy
Jordan thrives,
and proudly lives in two zones,
